Corporate Personal Accident
Protection for your people, 24 hours a day
Corporate Personal Accident — also known as group personal accident — is one policy taken out by the company, which is the policyholder, covering its employees. It pays a lump sum if an employee dies or is permanently disabled by an accident. Cover applies around the clock, at work and outside it, and is arranged by category, so you do not have to name every employee.
Premiums depend on your headcount, the occupations involved and the benefit levels you choose, so every case is quoted individually.
Why employers add it
Where a company policy goes further than the statutory floor
Every employee in Malaysia already has statutory protection, and it was widened in 2026. Corporate PA is what employers add on top of it, and it answers four things the statutory scheme was never designed to.
Benefits that are not capped by the wage ceiling
SOCSO benefits are calculated against a wage ceiling of RM6,000, so for anyone earning above it the payout understates the loss. A company policy sets its own benefit levels, usually a multiple of annual salary.
Cover that follows your people
Written on a 24-hour basis — commuting, business travel and off-duty time, not only hours on site. Where staff travel for work, cover can be extended beyond Malaysia.
Administered by category, not by name
Cover is arranged by group — management on one benefit level, site staff on another — so joiners and leavers do not each need to be declared before they are protected.
Meets obligations you may already have
Employment contracts, union agreements and tender conditions often specify a death and disablement benefit. Corporate PA is the usual way to satisfy that, and to show it in writing.
What's covered
Build the cover your team needs
Most employers start with the lump-sum benefit and add the rest according to the work their people actually do.
Accidental Death & Permanent Disablement
A lump sum on accidental death, or on permanent total or partial disablement — set as a multiple of annual salary, or a flat sum for each category of staff.
Core cover
Accident Medical Expenses
Reimburses treatment costs following an accident, up to the limit you choose — the part employees notice most, because it covers the bills that arrive first.
Common addition
Temporary Disablement Benefit
A weekly benefit while an employee is unable to work because of an accident, so income continues during recovery.
Common addition
Extensions
Repatriation and funeral expenses, motorcycling, and cover for specified occupational hazards. Which extensions are available depends on the insurer and the work involved — tell us what your people do and we will confirm what can be included.
Optional
How we arrange it
From your census to cover in force
Corporate PA has no published rate, so the work is in getting your requirement in front of the right insurers and comparing what comes back. Here is what that looks like, and what we handle on your behalf.
Send us your census
Headcount by category, the occupations involved, and the benefit level you want to provide. No employee names are needed to start.
We go to the insurers
We approach the insurers on our panel and come back with a comparison — cover, limits and premium set out side by side.
Placement and documents
Once you have chosen, we place the cover and pass you the cover note and, in due course, the policy.
Joiners and leavers
Tell us as your headcount changes. Cover is by category, so people are protected as they join and adjustments are settled at renewal.
Claims support
We prepare the submission with you, deal with the insurer, and keep you updated — at the point when your HR team has enough to handle already.
Renewal review
We re-market the cover before renewal, so the benefit levels still match your headcount rather than drifting year after year.
